FRACTION Fun!

I absolutely LOVED today's math lesson.  The crew had to choose which fraction of a cookie they wanted to eat.  Below you can see the results of what they chose!

Once we learned what each fraction meant, several students decided to REVISE their choice!

Then it was time to enjoy their cookie & finish their fraction booklet!

Favorite Hallway Decor!

Check out our new hallway decor inspired by our book of the month "Miss Rumphius!"  

I absolutely LOVE it, but it made me realize how much each pirate has GROWN 

when I was taking these pictures! Each pirate wrote a way they would continue to 

make the world better in their speech bubble. 

Teamwork Challenges

The Crew was given group challenges inspired by their change the world projects and a book we read called, "Because Amelia Smiled!"  They had to work cooperatively each doing a specific job to help the group collectively solve problems.  They did an awesome job on all four challenges!  Today they figured out that 874 people have seen their latest video created for teachers!  Wow- they know how to spread smiles!
