Poetry Cafe Day

What an amazing day of sharing the poems we have been writing in class with our families! These pirates did an amazing job and I 'm so proud of them!

The crew had to swab the deck with different jobs such a welcoming parents.

Several pirates read an inspirational poem or a poem we wrote as a Pirate Crew.

Each pirate got to read 3 poems they published.

This was a poem about a stapler looking like an alligator we wrote together as a crew.

This group read a crew favorite about SLOTHS.  They read it S-L-O-W-L-Y!

It was time to thank everyone who helped- our greeters, snack leaders, stage manager, pirates, and parents!

Sole Hope

Once we learned the plight of children in Uganda suffering with jiggers in their feet the crew set to work collect supplies, make shoe patterns, and earn money to help us get the shoe patters to Africa so they can be sewn and given to children in need!  Thank you for sending in supplies parents.  You made a difference!!
