Polar Express Day!

We started the day before Winter Break with our school wide sing-a-long and then breakfast!  A huge thanks to Mrs. Coston for cooking our bacon and to Jonathan for making our pancakes!  YUM!  We watched the movie, "The Polar Express" which was awesome!

Welcome to Peppermint Gingerbread City!

Welcome to our community!  It took a great deal of work, but the crew LOVED this project and the creativity and independence it allowed them!
                         

                                           

                                              It took up the length of our classroom!!

The city had doctor and dentist offices along with a hospital.  It included a hotel and restaurants.  It had places for entertainment.  It also included quite a few upper end stores, but when they designed the "sale" signs many offered discounts so we could afford to shop there!

Here we had a bridge leading to the football stadium, circus, and zoo!

Community Building!

Once our plans were done it was time to build!  We started with our businesses and community first, then we worked on our personal houses!
