Enemy Pie

On Monday we read a book called, Enemy Pie and since it is one of Mr. Strickland's favorites we invited him on board to read it to the crew!  

It's all about a little boy who declared a neighbor child his "enemy."  He told his wise father who offered to bake enemy pie to feed this enemy because it was sure to solve this problem.  The only condition was that his son had to spend a whole day with his enemy.

The crew can tell you the END of the story, but I loved that Mr. Strickland discussed with the crew the "secret" message the author had for us!  We uncovered that we shouldn't judge other people until we spend time with them!  We also discussed that talking to a parent when we are upset can be VERY helpful!
